Some interesting trivia about Adam and Eve
Adam and Eve were the first man and the first woman, according to the Hebrew Bible and the Quran.
The story
Genesis contains two creation stories about how God created Adam and Eve:
In the first story (Genesis 1:1 - 2:3), He created them at the same time, as male and female and image of Himself.
God commanded them to have children. He blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and become numerous, populate the earth and bring it under your authority: rule over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky and over all the animals that crawl on the earth.”
In the second story (Genesis 2:4 - 2:24), he first created Adam:
Then the LORD God made man. He formed him from dust, from earth, and breathed into his nose the breath of life. Thus man became a living being.
God placed Adam in the Garden of Eden (paradise) and told him he could eat the fruit of all the trees in the garden except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Some time later, God built Eve from a rib of Adam (Genesis 2:21-22).
A serpent tempted Eve to eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. She also gave some to Adam, who also ate from it. At that point they became aware of their nakedness and became ashamed of it (Genesis 3:1-7).
After Adam and Eve's disobedience, God condemned them, “Dust you are, to dust you return.” Then God wanted to prevent Adam and Eve from eating from the tree of life, which was also in the Garden of Eden, because then they would live forever. Therefore, God led them out of the Garden of Eden and placed cherubim at the garden to guard the entrance.
After being driven out of the Garden of Eden, Adam had to provide for them and Eve bore children. Three sons are mentioned by name: Cain and Abel and then Set.
Adam and Eve in Christianity
The sin of Adam and Eve and the resulting loss of favor with God and their stay in Paradise is known in Christianity as the Fall.
Adam and Eve in Judaism
According to Jewish mythology, Lilith was Adam's first wife, whom he later divorced.
Adam in Islam
Within Islam, Adam is seen as the first prophet and the first human being. God created Adam and then Adam's wife was created from Adam. Although she is not mentioned by name in sura “The Wives,” the name Hawwā has been handed down.
Age and Burial
The traditional Jewish historical view is that they were 33 years old when they sinned. According to some Jewish traditions, Adam and Eve are buried in the Cave of Machpela near the Palestinian city of Hebron. According to some Islamic sources, Eve's tomb is in the Saudi Arabian port city of Jiddah.
According to another tradition, Adam was buried where Jesus' cross later stood. Some depictions of the crucifixion therefore show some bones lying on the ground.
